Joy with Emus

Sorry, Florida, but you did make us laugh…

In current events we close the week with a "Can't Let It Go" section. It can be news or otherwise. Last week was all news, and I had to pull on poetry magic to salvage the mood. But this week, people came prepared. They announced who had heavy news and who had good new and queued up accordingly, so we could end the week upbeat. I'm still reeling from some of what they shared, because current events are impacting their worlds in this eastside suburb. But they also talked of ozone healing, plastic that will dissolve in water without leaving micro plastics, and escaped emus in Florida that evaded the cops until someone got cuffs around its feet, because, "Florida, right?" (Sorry, Florida, but you did make us laugh, and for that we are thankful.)
