Gathering the Sacred

Group Offerings

Online & In-Person in Redmond, WA

In these intimate gatherings, wisdom emerges through our collective listening and reflection. Whether exploring scripture through Lectio Divina or discussing meaningful literature, we practice moving from head to heart, allowing words to do their deeper work within us.

Group Spiritual Direction

Group spiritual direction creates sacred space for collective wisdom and divine presence to emerge through intentional listening.

  • Using a passage of scripture, or a thoughtful quote, we let those words do their work inside of us.

  • Moving from the head to the heart we let the ancient texts, or the poetry of modern writers, stir our thoughts in new ways and perhaps create pathways toward new ponderings.

  • Believing that each person has a piece of the Divine within us, we take care to reflect back simply what we hear, without advice or personal stories, trusting the Divine to work softly in the places of our lives that are ready.

Lecto Divina

This ancient practice invites us to experience scripture in community, bringing fresh insights through shared contemplation.

  • Is reading the Bible hard, dry, confusing?

  • Scripture reading was once a group effort, where the collective heard and asked questions, using the wisdom and lived experience of the group to bring life to the words.

  • In a Lectio time, there are no right answers, but space to let old words take on new meaning.

YA Books for Adult Readers

This monthly book discussion approaches YA literature with mature perspectives, creating meaningful conversations about timeless themes.

  • Are you a YA Lit person? Do you have young adults in your world?

  • Do you want to revisit classics, or new books, and read them through adult eyes?

  • Maybe you'd like to engage an old high school lit book that made little sense when you were a freshman, but this time could be different with adult eyes and adult conversation.

  • Drawing from my 15 years of teaching high school lit and book clubs, I will lead you through a different book each month. We will have honest conversations and dig into current issues in a genre that is easy to access.

  • Tamarah is an extraordinarily gifted spiritual director through her gentle presence and deep attentiveness. She guides group spiritual direction with a blend of spacious silence and discerning questions, inviting each voice to be fully heard. Tamarah’s practice of mirroring our own words back to us has become a cornerstone of my spiritual life, and I am so grateful to journey with her. If you seek a director who listens you into clarity, Tamarah is a gift.

Rev. Yvonne Agduyeng | she/her, Pastor

  • I have known Tamarah for several years. In that time she has given me not only many valuable pieces of advice but also tools with which I can continue using as new situations arise. I’m most appreciative of her skill in prompting me to look at situations and events from other points of view and see how different conclusions could be drawn than I otherwise would have. I also appreciate how her vast literary knowledge enables her to draw parallels to things that I’m familiar with, which helps to quantify things in new ways. Tamarah also has a remarkable skill for balancing earnestness with humor that I find helps keep talking about even serious topics enjoyable.
